Written by Jillette Johnson and produced by Peter Zizzo (Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton) and Michael Mangini (David Byrne, Joss Stone), Water in a Whale is the follow up to her 2012 critically acclaimed EP, Whiskey & Frosting, which is available now on iTunes here (complete your album for a reduced cost on June 25th). Singer Lindsay Mendez and pianist/band leader Marco Paguia have confirmed the release of 'This Time', their debut jazz vocal album.

Verve Records and Record Collection, today announced they have signed renowned guitarist, songwriter, and producer Blake Mills. Mills is currently in the studio putting final touches on his second full-length album, which will be released in fall of 2013. The self-produced album will be the follow up to 2010's critically acclaimed album Break Mirrors.

When he assumes his hosting duties on Saturday Night Live this Saturday, Ben Affleck will join SNL's exclusive '5-Timer's Club.' To mark the occasion, VH1 will air his first four appearences on the legendary comedy show beginning Saturday May 18th at 2:00 PM ET/PT.* Later that evening, Affleck will take his place alongside fellow 5-timers like Justin Timberlake, Tom Hanks, and Alec Baldwin.

Northlight Theatre, hosting a rare Chicago appearance, presents Maude Maggart in Concert, a special one-night-only concert event. Maude Maggart in Concert will take place Today, April 20 at 9:00 p.m. at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd.

Belgium's cinematic music auteurs Hooverphonic are set to make a triumphant return to the US early this Summer with the stateside release of their triple-platinum new album The Night Before. City and Colour—acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Dallas Green—will embark on an eight-week U.S. tour this fall, beginning in Northampton at the Calvin Theatre on September 13 and ending in Detroit at The Fillmore on November 8. International songstress Ana Moura announces her fifth studio album and Decca debut, Desfado. She has emerged as one of Portugal's leading voices of traditional Fado (which means "fate") with her mesmerizing interpretations of her country's soulful answer to the blues. To coincide with the release, Moura will embark on a North American tour taking her through major cities such as San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Washington DC, Minneapolis and more, kicking off February 28th (see dates below).
