Join the Black Broadway community as they perform inspirational cover songs at Darkness RISING: Live 2. The concert benefits Darkness RISING Nonprofit, an organization which focuses on mental wellness in the Black community. General-entertainment network INSP has greenlit a new original Western adjacent reality/docuseries titled Turquoise Fever. Slated to premiere this summer, the series follows the Otteson family as they work to grow their turquoise mining empire outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The announcement was made by Doug Butts, INSP's SVP of Programming.
Denver-based four-piece Flaural is set to release their debut LP, Postponement, which is due out April 19, 2019 via Staycation Records and can be pre-ordered now HERE. Following a string of EPs — 2015's Thin King and 2016's Over Imaginary Cigarettes — and produced by James Barone (Beach House, Tennis), Flaural's Postponement developed over a trying three years for the experimental rock band. On March 27, 2017, frontman Collin Johnson's father passed away after a long struggle with ALS, and the album's cover artwork serves as an homage to his death: an image resembling a clock with hands that read 3:27. The album closer “1616” is being released today on the two year anniversary of his death. FLOOD Magazine has premiered the video for the track calling it “fuzzy, feel-good vibes from a very dark place,” and adding, “If Flaural are any indication, Denver, Colorado, is sounding really good right now.”

For a one night only, the legendary Broadway, Television, and Silver Screen star Bernadette Peters sang with the Syracuse, New York orchestra known as Symphoria. Ms. Peters lit up the stage at Crouse Hinds Theater. Accomplished music director Marvin Laird, a friend of Ms. Peters, guest conducted Syracuse's Symphoria orchestra while Ms. Peters sang some of her greatest hits from the stage as well as many other familiar tunes. The talent, the energy, and the star power - it was all perfection.
