'Saving Kitty,' a comedy by Marisa Smith opened at the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch on Saturday, July 27th and the audience enjoyed every minute of it. Smith has succeeded in writing a play that is completely entertaining and truly thought provoking. Drawing on her personal experience, Smith's writing examines behaviors that are commonly associated with the right and the left and calls them into question.

Today we are talking to a versatile stage and screen actress who has scored in a number of unique roles on Broadway and around the country in addition to making a recent mark with her work on the Broadway-themed web series IT COULD BE WORSE - the passionate and compelling Alison Fraser. Discussing her vast resume and some of her most fondly remembered performances to date, Fraser opens up about her remarkable career thus far - including her work originating parts in IN TROUSERS, MARCH OF THE FALSETTOS, THE SECRET GARDEN, ROMANCE/ROMANCE, GUNMETAL BLUES, THE DIVINE SISTER and more - and looks ahead to her most recent projects, current, upcoming and beyond. Alison Fraser will lead the reading of Wendy Beckett's Off-Broadway - bound production of LOVE THERAPY. This new play, directed by Evan Bergman is the fourth in a series of Ms. Beckett's plays that will be brought across the pacific from Australia by Pascal Productions. The reading takes place on Sunday, February 3rd at 3PM at TACT Studios (900 Broadway at 20th Street - Suite 905) and is open to the public by reservation only. New Jersey Repertory Company has announced the world premiere production of American Stare by Tony Glazer, directed by Evan Bergman. American Stare begins preview performances tonight, June 14, 2012 and will celebrate its opening night on Saturday, June 16 at New Jersey Repertory Company (179 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ), running through Sunday, July 22.

The world premiere production of AMERICAN STARES by Tony Glazer, a dark comedy that exploring the emotions, intentions and actions of South Florida's disenfranchised lower class citizens, will play June 14 through July 22 at New Jersey Repertory Company located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch. Celebrating 10 years, Resonance Ensemble (Eric Parness, Artistic Director; Rachel Reiner, Managing Director) will revel in classic fashion tonight, June 1, 2012 at the Judson Memorial Meeting Room (55 Washington Square South). This year's program is entitled 10 YEARS/10 DREAMS, featuring 10 ten-minute plays inspired by William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
