Porchlight Music Theatre presents the highly anticipated new musical MEET JOHN DOE, based on the film of the same name by Frank Capra, for the final performance on April 17, 2011 at Stage 773, 1225 W. UNDER CONSIDERATION is a 90-minute event featuring new one-act plays by members of The Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group including 2008 playwrights Chris Cragin and Pia Wilson, 2009 playwright Bridget Kelso, and 2011 playwrights Sevan Greene, Sukari Jones, Aaron Levy, Anna Moench, Jerome Parker, and Stella Fawn Ragsdale.

According to Whatsonstage.com, the Broadway hit THE BOOK OF MORMON might make a transfer to the West End next year. Baz Bamigboye recently revealed: 'the actual opening date will depend on the availability of Parker and Stone, who are working on the 15th season of South Park. They will need to be on hand to help shape and tweak the West End show.'

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today eight plays to be developed at the 2011 National Playwrights Conference (NPC) under the leadership of Artistic Director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 47th season. Tickets for these readings go on sale Wednesday, June 8. Advanced ticket sales for O'Neill Members will be available Monday, May 16

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Tracy Letts' award-winning play, August: Osage County.
