Local Playwright Kirsten Greenidge's MILK LIKE SUGAR Begins Tonight at Huntington

The Huntington Theatre Company will present the Obie Award-winning drama MILK LIKE SUGAR by Huntington Playwriting Fellow Kirsten Greenidge (Luck of the Irish) and directed by Huntington Associate Producer M. Bevin O'Gara (Becoming Cuba). Performances begin today, January 29 and continue through February 27, 2016 in the Roberts Studio Theatre in the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

Ben Rimalower to Bring Off-Broadway Hits to London's St. James Theatre in March

Ben Rimalower will perform his Off-Broadway solo plays, PATTI ISSUES (about his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father) and BAD WITH MONEY (about how and addiction to spending beyond his means has driven him to extreme lengths all his life) in double repertory bill March 11 and 12 at 8pm at the St. James Theatre.

Application for National Directors Fellowship to be Accepted Beginning Next Week

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National New Play Network, and Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation have announced open applications for a second round of fellows of the National Directors Fellowship (NDF). Applications will be accepted online January 11-15 at the O'Neill website (www.theoneill.org).

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of THE METROMANIACS by supremely clever playwright David Ives (All in the Timing, Time Flies). MRT Receives $20,000 NEA Grant

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced awards totaling more than $27.6 million in its first funding round of fiscal year 2016, including an Art Works award of $20,000 to Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) in support of the upcoming world premiere production of "The Realness: a break beat play" by Idris Goodwin.

Cast, Creative Team Announced for La Jolla Playhouse's GUARDS AT THE TAJ

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for Guards at the Taj, the final production of the 2015/2016 season. Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo), the show marks Associate Artistic Director Jaime Castañeda's directorial debut at the Playhouse. The production will run February 2 - 28, 2016 (press opening: Wednesday, February 10) in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.
