Massachusetts releases its second annual MassJazz Travel Guide, a round-up of jazz festivals, concerts and musical events taking place across the Bay State from July through October 2010. The 32-page magazine is available free to visitors and residents at tourism kiosks, in hotels and nightclubs, and on college campuses.

Invitation [SACD348] features Billy Drummond on drums, Jay Leonhart on bass, Paul Meyers on guitar, Joel Frahm on saxophone and Kenny Rampton on Trumpet. Texas Performing Arts presents an evening of contemporary jazz with Esperanza Spalding and her jazz ensemble, and special guest André Mehmari on Friday, April 23, at Hogg Memorial Auditorium.
The Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center announced an expanded season of productions, artists, local discoveries, and new film and performance series. The summer pre-season begins on June 17 with the new musical, DADDY LONG LEGS. The official season kicks off October 7- 9, with an opening weekend of performances and events featuring jazz star, Esperanza Spalding; classical cellist, Lynn Harrell; and folk singer, Judy Collins.
