Signature in the Schools to Celebrate 20th Anniversary with VENI, VIDI, VICI World Premiere This Month

Signature in the Schools, Signature Theatre's flagship education program, presents the world premiere production of Veni, Vidi, Vici, written by writer/director and Signature Theatre's Resident Director of New Works Joe Calarco and directed by Education Director David Zobell. Students from Arlington high schools join professional actor Erin Weaver (The Last Five Years, Xanadu) for this thought-provoking and funny new play, which the students perform in Signature's MAX Theatre. Veni, Vidi, Vici is conceived and written to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Signature in the Schools and explores the impacts of imperialism.

At first glance, Imagination Stage's Night Fairy is a story about an injured Night Fairy who must learn to survive in the daytime. However, although Flory the Night Fairy does manage to survive in her new ecosystem, the means by which she thrives often seem overly harsh and not all that noble.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is bringing back the bird and reuniting the entire cast and creative team of Aaron Posner's Stupid f**king Bird after its runaway success in the summer of 2013. Nominated for eight Helen Hayes Awards and winner for Outstanding Resident Play and Outstanding New Play or Musical, Stupid f**king Bird is directed by Woolly Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz and runs for three weeks, beginning tonight, July 28, 2014, and continuing through August 17, 2014.
