Following the extraordinary success of its inaugural edition last summer, Art Southampton (presented by Art Miami), the premiere international contemporary and modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest works of art available in the Hamptons, will return at the height of the social and cultural season this summer today, July 25 through 29, 2013.
Art Southampton's Nick Korniloff and Pamela Cohen, with Beth McNeill, The McNeill Group and her husband artist Jeff Muhs co-hosted an elegant Summer Soiree to kickoff the upcoming Art Southampton, presented by Art Miami, the premier international contemporary and modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest works of art available in the Hamptons. The by-invitation-only event for young collectors and Art Southampton Host Committee members was held at the Muhs' sprawling Shinnecock Hills aerie in their beautifully landscaped sculpture garden and in their art filled home on July 5. This year's gala will celebrate the "creative spirit of the East End" by honoring director/choreographer Patricia Birch, visual artist Chuck Close, author/historian Barbara Goldsmith, interior designers Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, musician G.E. Smith, and choreographer Paul Taylor. This years Midsummer Party Co-Chairs are Deborah F. At this year's ARTrageous Gala, more than 500 supporters gathered at Cipriani Wall Street to raise funds and awareness for the over 16,000 foster children in New York City. The money raised from the ARTrageous event benefits Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families (EGSCF). For more than 85 years, this non-profit organization has been serving and protecting children residing in foster care in New York City. Over the past decade ARTrageous has been a huge success, raising more than $15 million. Today, EGSCF is one of the top Foster Care Agencies in New York City.

Presented by Josh Wood Productions, this one-night-only musical event is conceived and created by Arias and musical director Ben Allison with artistic direction my Manfred Thierry Mugler.
Billie Holiday made her debut in 1948. Nina Simone first graced its stage in 1955. In 1963 Bob Dylan played the notorious venue.
