Variety is reporting that 'Frost/Nixon' playwright and screenwriter Peter Morgan has signed on to the writing team for the upcoming James Bond 23.

Last night in New York, 7June 2009, Stephen Daldry's production of Billy Elliot the Musical celebrated an astonishing number of wins at the Tony Awards confirming the British musical as an internationally award-winning hit.

Tony Award-nominated actor and theatre veteran, Colm Wilkinson stars on the SHOWTIME mini-series 'The Tudors' as Lord Thomas Darcy on April 12th at 9PM (EST).

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that Tommy Batchelor has joined the rotation in the role of 'Billy Elliot.' Tommy joins Broadway's original Billys David Alvarez,Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulishon stage at the Imperial Theatre.

The full list of nominations for the British Academy of Film and Television arts was announced this morning. FROST/NIXON received 6 nominations and DOUBT 3 amongst other theatre-related nominees. The awards will be given out on February 8, 2009 in London.

The Los Angeles Time reports that 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' 'The Dark Knight,' 'Frost/Nixon,' 'Milk' and 'Slumdog Millionaire' were nominated Monday for the Producers Guild of America's top award.
