Cast Announced for Midwest Premiere of THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES

Raven Theatre Associate Artistic Director Cody Estle has announced a "blended family" of new and familiar Raven faces for the company's Midwest premiere of The Assembled Parties, which in 2013 earned a 2013 Tony® Award nomination for Best Play. The play by Richard Greenberg, author of Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain and many other plays, will open on Raven Theatre's East Stage under Estle's direction on Tuesday, January 31, following previews from January 25 - 30, 2017.

The watch must finally come to an end for "Thrones! The Musical Parody," announcing today the fourth and final extension at Apollo Theater (2540 N. Lincoln Ave). The "Game of Thrones" send-up will close March 19, 2017 after an eight-month run at the Lincoln Park theater.

Cast Announced for Sarah Ruhl's EURYDICE

Director Nicole Hand has announced her cast for Promethean Theatre Ensemble's January production of Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice, a look at the Greek myth of Orpheus through the eyes of his doomed bride, whose voice is typically missing from her own story. Appearing as Eurydice will be Janeane Bowlware (below left),* of Promethean's Bury the Dead, Linchpin's King John and Red Tape'sChurch/Pullman. Her husband Orpheus will be played by Jordan Golding (below right), a recent graduate of Oberlin College who has also studied at the British American Drama Academy in London.

Written and produced by the creative team behind "Baby Wants Candy" and "50 Shades! The Musical Parody," the sell-out show from Scotland begins as a group of friends gather for the season finale of "Game of Thrones," when they soon realize that one friend has never seen television show. The Musical Parody" sweeps through the Windy City once again this fall at Apollo Theater Chicago (2540 N Lincoln Ave) with a talented ensemble of Chicago up-and-comers bringing the "Game of Thrones" send-up to life. Under the direction of Hannah Todd, the cast of "Thrones! The Musical Parody" includes Caitlyn Cerza, Nick Druzbanski, Madeline Lauzon, Beau Nolen, Victoria Olivier and Christopher Ratliff. This all-Chicago cast combines comedic talents and "knockout vocal harmonies" (Chicago Reader) to bring all six seasons of the HBO hit to the stage, recounting the journey of well-known characters such as Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, the Stark family, Daenerys Targaryen and more.
