The Tank, a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, will present its first-ever Noir Fest: two weekends of eclectic events that are all in some way inspired by film noir. New plays, short films, clowning, improv, and a panel discussion are all included. The Festival features both new work and tributes to noir classics. Follow your Odysseus. This August, Brooklyn's Exquisite Corpse Company brings you Odd.A.See. An ambitious retelling of Homer's classic, Odd.A.See explores how the memories of violence haunt us, and how we struggle to find the courage to go home. The audience follows Odysseus through a labyrinth of worlds collaboratively re-imagined and brought to life by a company of nearly 50 artists - including writers, musicians, installation artists, actors, and designers.

Co-founder and artistic director of Bay Street Theatre Sybil Christopher passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013, according to an announcement by the theatre's website. She was 83. Christopher served as artistic director at Bay Street for nearly 22 years until 2012, when she stepped down.

For 12 years, Merkin Concert Hall's Broadway Close Up series has been taking audiences behind the scenes of classic musicals old and new with eye-opening interviews and inspiring performances.
