This year, The Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award goes to OVID'S METAMORPHOSES, adapted and directed by Peter Bramley with original music by Lucy Egger. The production is from the acclaimed London-based company Pants On Fire. The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation will present the winning production at the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning The Flea Theater in January 2011.

Emma Thompson, who is writing the screenplay for a new film version of MY FAIR LADY, told The Telegraph of Audrey Hepburn, star of the original film, 'I find Audrey Hepburn fantastically twee. Twee is whimsy without wit. It's mimsy-mumsy sweetness without any kind of bite. And that's not for me. She can't sing and she can't really act, I'm afraid. I'm sure she was a delightful woman - and perhaps if I had known her I would have enjoyed her acting more, but I don't and I didn't, so that's all there is to it, really.'

Emmy(R) Award nominee Maura Tierney ('ER') has joined 'The Whole Truth' as a series regular. The new drama series from Jerry Bruckheimer Television will air Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET this fall on ABC. With a unique alternative narrative structure that chronicles the way a case is built from the perspectives of both the defense and prosecution, 'The Whole Truth' shows each side equally and keeps its audience guessing, shifting allegiances of guilt or innocence until the very final scene.

On Thursday, June 10, the AFI honored Mike Nichols with their Life Achievement Award at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, CA.
