Take Flight, a new musical with music by Academy Award winner David Shire, lyrics by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby Jr. with a book by Tony Award winner John Weidman will have its American premiere on the Berlind stage of McCarter Theatre in Princeton, April 30 through June 6. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present Terrence McNally's Nights at the Opera - an event showcasing three of the playwright's works including Master Class, The Lisbon Traviata, and Golden Age concurrently in Kennedy Center theaters from March 20 - April 18, 2010. Directors include Walter Bobbie for Master Class and Christopher Ashley for The Lisbon Traviata.

Magic Theatre, San Francisco's home for new plays, closes the 09-10 Season with the world premiere of An Accident by Lydia Stryk, directed by Rob Melrose. This bold new drama starring local favorites Arwen Anderson and Tim Kniffin opens Wednesday, April 21st.

A blended chorus of one hundred and fifty young people will fill the soaring spaces of Princeton University Chapel with glorious music on Saturday, April 10, at 7:30 PM. The concert, 'Lift One Voice', will feature the premiere of a brand new work by Francisco J. Núñez , noted composer of choral music and Founder/Artistic Director of The Young People's Chorus of New York City. Hailed by the New York Times as one 'who has been raising the bar for children's music for over a decade', Núñez will personally conduct the massed voices which combine members of Trenton Children's Chorus (organizer of the event), with the Westminster Conservatory Cantus, Princeton Girlchoir Cantores, Princeton High School Freshman Women's Choir, and Núñez' own Young People's Chorus.

The National Constitution Center and the Philadelphia Artists' Collective will present a free reading of William Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida, Shakespeare's poignant account of the Trojan War, on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. The event is held in conjunction with the Center's Ancient Rome & America exhibition. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 215.409.6700.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre will end its run of the play Broke-ology on March 21 as a part of the Sprint Copaken Stage Series. Written by Nathan Louis Jackson and directed by Kyle Hatley, this family drama will feature Shamika Cotton, Larry Powell, and Postel Pringle.

New York's OBIE Award-winning Epic Theatre Ensemble (Zak Berkman, Melissa Friedman, Ron Russell, Founding Executive Directors) today announced the cast and creative team for the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play (In The Next Room… or the vibrator play) and directed by Mark Wing-Davey (The Singing Forest).
