MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the hit musical with productions in New York, Chicago and touring across North America, is launching a national casting search seeking musicians/actors for the roles of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for future replacements and understudies for the Chicago and touring productions.

The nationally recognized, multi-award winning West Orange High School Theatre Department, under the direction of Mr. Ken Rush, will close their 2011-2012 season with the all-school presentation of the musical ALL SHOOK UP. The production, which opened on May 16, will play its final performances this weekend.

When will they learn that simply putting the music of some notable singers on stage without a decent script to back it up does not a good musical make? It's didn't work for "Good Vibrations" it didn't work for "Lennon" and it doesn't work for "Million Dollar Quartet" currently playing at the Paramount Theatre. The only things saving this show are the fact that the incredible performers are playing their own instruments and that there's enough nostalgia on stage to choke a horse. But is that enough?

The legendary stage musical CARRIE will soon be available for licensing from R&H Theatricals, and its score will be published by Imagem Music, each a division of the Imagem Music Group. Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel, CARRIE features music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose), and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film).
