Penguin Rep Theatre, under the leadership of founding artistic director Joe Brancato and executive director Andrew M. Horn, announces its 2016 season, the professional Equity company's 39th at its home in Stony Point (Rockland County), New York, a season filled with current and controversial subject matter.

Adam Rapp returns to The Flea with WOLF IN THE RIVER. Featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, WOLF IN THE RIVER is written and directed by Rapp. Previews start tonight, March 10, with opening night slated for Monday, March 21.

Adam Rapp returns to The Flea with WOLF IN THE RIVER. Featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, WOLF IN THE RIVER is written and directed by Rapp. Previews start March 10, with opening night slated for Monday, March 21.

The Flea Premieres BUT I CD ONLY WHISPER; Begins Previews Feb. 18

The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Kristiana Colon's but i cd only whisper, directed by Resident Director David Monteagudo and featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company. Previews start February 18, with opening night slated for Monday, February 29.

INTAR To Present the World Premiere of LOCUSTS HAVE NO KING

'The locusts have no king, yet all of them march in rank' - Proverbs 30:27. INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) continues its acclaimed 2015 - '16 season with the Off-Broadway premiere of Locusts Have No King by J. Julian Christopher, beginning Friday, March 18th and continuing through April 24th only. Opening Night is set for Wednesday, March 30th. David Mendizábal will direct a cast that includes John J. Concado, Dan Domingues, David Grimm and Liam Torres.

Adam Rapp's WOLF IN THE RIVER & More Set for The Flea's Spring 2016 Season

Niegel Smith, Artistic Director and Carol Ostrow, Producing Director of The Flea Theater announced today the slate for the spring season, featuring two World Premieres and one US Premiere. Continuing a long-standing relationship with The Flea, Adam Rapp will be returning with Wolf in the River, which he also directs. The Flea is also excited to welcome two new playwrights, Kristiana Colon and Sarah Gancher. Gancher's The Place We Built will be directed by Flea Resident Director Danya Taymor while Colon's but I cd only whisper will be directed by Resident Director David Monteagudo.

Pier Paolo Pasolini's PYLADE Makes U.S. Premiere at La MaMa Tonight

La MaMa presents PYLADE -- a play by the late, celebrated Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini -- in its U.S. premiere 40 years after the author's murder. The production directed by Ivica Buljan, director of the Croatian National Theatre, begins performances beginning tonight, December 3 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) with the press opening set for December 6, it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's Artistic Director.

WAITRESS Will Become First Broadway Musical with 4 Female Head Creatives; Lorin Latarro Joins as Choreographer!

Choreographer Lorin Latarro has joined the creative team for the Broadway production of Waitress.  With her addition, Waitress is the first Broadway musical in history where a traditional four person creative team of book writer, composer, choreographer and director have all been women.* Latarro replaces Chase Brock, who choreographed the pre-Broadway run at the A.R.T.

The production directed by Ivica Buljan, director of the Croatian National Theatre, begins performances beginning December 3 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) with the press opening set for December 6, it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's Artistic Director. This contemporary adaptation of the Greek myth, PYLADE will be performed by La MaMa's Great Jones Repertory Company (GJRC), a multi-faceted company of artists created 35 years ago by Andrei Serban, Elizabeth Swados and La MaMa's founder Ellen Stewart.
