Beginning in 2010, she portrayed Cora, Countess of Grantham in the British TV series Downton Abbey.

AFI Life Achievement Award honoree Meryl Streep presented Shirley MacLaine with the American Film Institute's 40th Life Achievement Award - America's highest honor for a career in film.
