SFCM presents a double bill of two one-act operas by romantic-era masters, Massenet's Le portrait de Manon and Puccini's Suor Angelica -- one, a story of love and determination, and the other, a tale of secrets from within a Florentine convent.
The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) will present Benjamin Britten's dramatic opera masterpiece, The Turn of the Screw, at Caroline H. Hume Concert Hall December 9 and 11. The two performances will feature different casts comprised of SFCM students in a new, fully staged production by Heather Mathews, with the Conservatory Orchestra led by Curt Pajer.
