The producers of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage announced casting for the third year of the North American Tour, which coincides with the film's 30th anniversary. Christopher Tierney, having originally performed the role of Johnny Castle during the 2015 Toronto engagement, returned to the show during it most recent North American tour and will once again thrill audiences alongside the fast-rising young star Bronwyn Reed as Frances "Baby" Houseman. 

At Sunday's Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Jennifer Grey revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she turned down an offer to appear in ABC's upcoming remake of the 1980's classic DIRTY DANCING. 

Broadway stars and a host of musical presentations are on tap for the upcoming 2016-17 primetime television season. Included in THE LINEUP will be new series starring HAMILTON's Christopher Jackson, FROZEN's Kristen Bell and BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY star Stephen Pasquale.

The Orpheum Theatre announced today that individual tickets for the Memphis premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale Friday, July 22 at 10 AM. Spectacular dancing, heartfelt story, brilliant actors, classic songs.... The iconic film, DIRTY DANCING had all the makings to translate seamlessly onto the stage. However, unfortunately, it failed to deliver on all accounts. Written and conceived by Eleanor Bergstein, who has little to no previous stage experience, DIRTY DANCING is a lackluster and disappointing version of the far superior original. Perhaps it would've been best to leave Baby in the corner.

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will launch the third year of its North American tour this September and one of the first tour stops is Kalamazoo's Miller Auditorium for four performances from Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016.

Following two successful years on the road with many sold out engagements, the stage adaptation of the worldwide smash-hit film will continue on to play over 30 markets in North America including first time engagements in Miami, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, return engagements in Pittsburgh, Charlotte, St. Louis and many more. Additional cities will be announced in the coming months.

Casting has been announced for a new UK and Ireland touring production of DIRTY DANCING. Lewis Griffiths (Jersey Boys, Ghost and Legally Blonde tours, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rent and Whistle Down the Wind in the West End) will star as Johnny Castle, while recent Central graduate Katie Hartland makes her professional musical theatre debut as Baby Houseman. Carlie Milner, who began as part of the Dirty Dancing ensemble in 2014 and subsequently took over the role of Penny, reprises her performance.
