The Stella Adler Studio of Acting recently announced the 60th anniversary of its founding. It is one of the oldest actor training schools in the country, founded by the legendary Stella Adler in New York City in 1949. ANDRÉA BURNS (May 4) began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in West Side Story. Since then she has appeared on Broadway as Daniela in In The Heights, as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty. She has appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall and many other symphonic halls across the country. She can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Songs for A New World, Saturday Night, Shine, Broadway Bound, The Broadway Musicals of 1953, and It's Only Life as well as her debut solo album A Deeper Shade of Red.

Hugh Jackman, has 'revealed' to Sydney's Daily Telegraph that he is indeed working to 'reappear' on Broadway in the original musical, HOUDINI in the spring of 2010.

The New York Times is reporting that Broadway legend, Elaine Stritch, has been cast in the upcoming Paper Mill Playhouse production of THE FULL MONTY. The 83 years young star will play the role of Jeanette Burmeister in the production, which runs from June 10 to July 12.

Broadway and screen favorite Elaine Stritch returns to home to Detroit in a benefit production of A. R. Gurney's ANCESTRAL VOICES, April 17 and 18. The production will benefit the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts and the Restore The Horse Foundation, an effort to restore a century old barn on Belle Isle.
