Edward Stern, Producing Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park since 1992, announced today that he will leave the Playhouse at the end of the 2011-2012 season, which will also be his 20th season.

A coming-of-age comedy by Tom Dudzick, OVER THE TAVERN revolves around wise-cracking Rudy, one of four Pazinski kids growing up above a tavern in 1959. As Rudy prepares for his confirmation, he decides to go knuckle to ruler with his formidable teacher, Sister Clarissa, questioning everything and spending more time on his Ed Sullivan impersonation than his studies.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has adjusted the order of the shows in the 2010 - 2011 Robert S. Marx Theatre Season. Over the Tavern by Tom Dudzick will now play January 22 - February 19, 2011 (previously April 23 - May 21, 2011).
