2011 - 12 Season of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Begins

Producing Artistic Director Edward Stern announced his 20th - and final - season at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The Playhouse' s 52nd season includes two world premieres and three regional premiere productions, as well as the return of one of the most popular musicals in its history.

Ed Stern Honored with Endowment for Artistic Excellence

Ed Stern, the Producing Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, will be honored by the theatre community and his audiences over the past 20 years with the creation of the Edward Stern Endowment for Artistic Excellence.

Cincinnati Playhouse Holds Auditions for OVER THE TAVERN, 8/7

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will hold auditions on Saturday, August 7 for boys interested in performing two roles in the 2010-2011 production of OVER THE TAVERN. A coming-of-age comedy by Tom Dudzick, OVER THE TAVERN revolves around wise-cracking Rudy, one of four Pazinski kids growing up above a tavern in 1959. As Rudy prepares for his confirmation, he decides to go knuckle to ruler with his formidable teacher, Sister Clarissa, questioning everything and spending more time on his Ed Sullivan impersonation than his studies.
