MSG Entertainment (MSGE) announced today the official kick-off to the 2012 holiday season as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular celebrates "Christmas in August" in honor of 85 years of the Rockettes performing in New York City. On Tuesday, August 14 at 11am audiences will be treated to a look at the Rockettes' past, present and future with a costume retrospective showcasing memorable Rockettes styles through the years, all leading up to a high energy performance by the legendary New York dance company.

Playwright April De Angelis takes a witty, exuberant look at the plight of the first actresses to tread the boards during the Restoration era in Playhouse Creatures, the second production to be staged at the brand new pop-up space, Theatre on the Fly. The show, directed by Michael Oakley, is set for tonight, 19 July - 11 August, 2012.

Ben Cross, Nigel Havers, Nicholas Farrell and Alice Krige, stars of the original 1981 film Chariots of Fire, made a surprise visit to the Gielgud Theatre last night, July 10, to meet with the actors currently performing in Edward Hall's five star stage production of the same name. The stage cast, led by James McArdle, Jack Lowden, Tam Williams, Mark Edel-Hunt and Savannah Stevenson were introduced to their film character counterparts and to an excited audience at the Gielgud Theatre. Hugh Hudson, Director of the original film and co-producer of the new stage adaptation joined actors from both film and stage at this unique curtain call.

Inspired by Colin Welland's original screenplay, award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett's new adaptation is based on the true story of Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams' inspirational tale of hope, honour and belief. The next two years of programming for Edward Hall's Propeller theatre company will include three brand new productions - a Shakespeare production, an hour-long version of Henry V, and Propeller's first ever new writing commission - as well as a tour of two Propeller classics to new UK and international audiences, and a revival of a third Propeller Shakespeare production.
