The ceremony highlighted the recent renovation of Ballet Hispanico's longtime home, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony followed by a tour and reception.

The Chicago Dancemakers Forum (CDF) is delighted to announce today the four recipients of its 2015 CDF Lab Artist Awards. Each Chicago-based artist will receive $15,000 as well as 12 months of mentorship and peer support. Choreographers Baraka de Soleil, Jamal "Litebulb" Oliver, Benjamin Holiday Wardell, and Sara Zalek were selected by an esteemed panel comprised of local and national dance leaders, artists, scholars and arts administrators, following a rigorous, two-round application process. Each grantee was identified as being within a key moment in their artistic development, demonstrated a clear vision, a solid body of work, a compelling line of inquiry, and a firmly grounded work ethic.

Ballet Hispanico has announced that artistic director Eduardo Vilaro has been recognized as an outstanding artist living or working in Westchester County through ArtsWestchester's 50th anniversary initiative '50 for 50.' The fifty artists were selected through a competitive nomination process for the quality of their artistic work and their cultural contributions to the community. All artists will receive $1,000 prizes at an ArtsWestchester luncheon on April 16, 2015.

Ballet Hispanico raised more than $1.1 million in support of the company's artistic and educational work in New York City and around the country at their 2015 Gala on Monday, March 30, 2015. During the evening, Ballet Hispanico honored Ballet Hispanico Board President and President and COO of Palladium Equity Partners David Pérez and Milena Alberti-Pérez, SVP and Head of Global Corporate Finance at Penguin Random House, with the Civic Inspiration Award. Ben Rodriguez-Cubeñas, Chair of Ballet Hispanico's Leadership Council and program director for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, was honored with the Nuestra Inspiración Award. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the creation of new Company works, need-based financial aid and merit scholarships in the Ballet Hispanico School of Dance, and community arts education programs.
