The Cherry Lane Theatre has announced the roster of award-winning playwrights, director Hal Prince and renowned actress Tyne Daly to be featured in the theatre's annual, eagerly-anticipated MASTER CLASS - a series of 15 programs that offers theatergoers an inside view of theater from master of the craft in an intimate setting, starting Monday, November 2 at 7 p.m. at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in Manhattan. The format allows audiences to hear these masters speak about their art, and have the opportunity to ask questions of the artists.

Playwrights Bruce Norris, Tarell Alvin McCraney and David Adjmi are the first recipients of the ?Steinberg Playwright Awards,' it was officially announced by playwright Tony Kushner at a press conference on Thursday, September 17th in New York City. The awards were established in 2008 by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust to recognize up-and-coming playwrights at various stages of their early careers whose professional works show great promise. Ed Harris is confirmed to star in the new movie directed and written by Milk's Dustin Lance Black, 'What's Wrong With Virginia,' also featuring his wife Amy Madigan, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Roberts. Harris is replacing Liam Neeson, who was originally cast in the role of a sheriff whose state senate bid is threatened when his daughter starts dating the son of a disturbed woman (Connelly) with whom he has been having a two-decade affair.
