Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director presents the world premiere of The East River Hotel. Written and directed by Jeff Randall Wiseman, the production opens at Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue, NYC) on Friday, December 28, 2012 and runs through Sunday, January 13, 2013. The play performs Thursday through Saturday at 8PM and Sunday at 3PM.

The Lark Play Development Center in collaboration with Mexico's National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) has announced the 2012 U.S./Mexico Playwright Exchange Program. For the seventh year, the Lark will host playwrights from Mexico and pair them with U.S. playwrights, actors, and directors for a ten day cultural exploration which establishes ongoing channels of communication between artists in both countries. This year's exchange is presented in partnership with Mexican Cultural Institute.

One of the nation's leading programs for emerging playwrights -- Cherry Lane Theatre's award-winning MENTOR PROJECT -- celebrates its 15th anniversary this season with the production of four new plays by emerging writers -- each of whom is paired with an accomplished mentor playwright -- from February 20, 2012 to April 13 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in Manhattan. MENTOR PROJECT is the recipient of the Ross Wetzsteon Obie Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Development of New Work, along with the 2009 James Kirkwood Award for fostering and promoting the work of contemporary American playwrights.

This spring, Goodman Theatre broadens the scope of its Latino Theatre Festival, an event that has introduced more than 160,000 Chicagoans to prominent Latino theater companies around the globe-from Spain to Mexico to Brazil-for the past decade. Under the direction of Goodman Resident Artistic Associate and Festival Curator Henry Godinez, Latino Fest 2013 will span over an extended time period to run in conjunction with the height of the season.

Repertorio Espagnol and the General Consulate of Spain bestow upon Artistic Director Rene Buch The Order of Isabella the Catholic. This honor is a Spanish civil order granted to non-Spanish citizens in recognition of services that benefit foster Spanish culture and cultural exchange. Buch will be presented the award at Repertorio Español's June 5th Gala at Repertorio's Gramercy Arts Theater located at 138 East 27th Street in Manhattan, NY.

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) presents American Jornalero, a new play written by Ed Cardona, Jr., directed by Mariana Carreño-King, opening tonight, May 7 at 8 p.m. and continuing through June 3rd only, at INTAR (500 West 52nd Street at Tenth Avenue, on the 4th Floor). By popular demand, Frank Strausser's new comedy PSYCHO THERAPY will resume performances Off-Broadway at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) beginning April 8 and running through May 26, it has been announced by the show's producer, Barbara Ligeti and Wishing Well Productions.

The LOVE N' COURAGE celebration will begin with cocktails at 6:30pm, Dinner at 7:00pm, and performances at 8:00pm.
