Summer in Chicago continues this July with the Grant Park Music Festival, led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar and the Grammy Award-nominated Grant Park Orchestra, along with Chorus Director Christopher Bell and the Grant Park Chorus in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park. The Festival will bring performances by outstanding guest conductors and guest artists from around the world, in a month of exciting programming that includes a world premiere commission, a live concert screening of Frozen Planet, the latest hit series from BBC/Discovery Channel, a tribute concert to Broadway and Hollywood legend, Frank Loesser and other Festival favorites.

Luca Pisaroni will reprise the role of Figaro in productions of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (May 3-13) and at the Vienna State Opera (June 3-13).

Youth Music Theatre UK's residential Summer Skills courses are back for 2012. Theatre fans between the ages of 11 and 21 are invited to discover their potential, meet like-minded friends and earn a grade 6 certificate in musical theatre from the prestigious Trinity Guildhall. All skills courses are fully residential with accommodation and rehearsal space located in some of the country's best universities and boarding schools.

The World Shakespeare Festival opens Monday 23 April and the UK is set for its largest ever celebration of Shakespeare. The Edinburgh International Festival's three contrasting takes on Shakespeare at Festival 2012 will form a key part of the World Shakespeare Festival in Scotland this August.

The Public Theater has announced additional casting today for the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. David Furr (Orlando) and Stephen Spinella (Jaques) join the previously announced MacIntyre Dixon (Adam), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Celia), Omar Metwally (Oliver), and Lily Rabe (Rosalind) in Shakespeare's comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

2008: MACBETH, directed and adapted by Grzegorz Jarzyna, plays at the Edinburgh International Festival, August 11 to 18. In this scary trailer for the show, we get a preview of the pyrotechnics, immersive video effects and layered soundscape Jarzyna uses to transform Shakespeare's web of politics, ambition and the supernatural into a contemporary, and highly physical, theatrical film.

Almost 3000 artists from 47 nations will gather to share the live experience of theatre, dance, opera and music with audiences from approximately a third of the world's nations at Edinburgh International Festival 2012. This year the festival will take place August 9 to September 2.

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, today announced the Festival's line-up, which runs from July 5 through August 5, 2012. Single tickets go on sale on April 2. Theater offerings include Mikhail Baryshnikov in Dmitry Krymov's staging of a new play, In Paris, as well as Sydney Theatre Company's acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya directed by Tamas Ascher and adapted by Andrew Upton. Shadowbox Productions will present their inaugural production, Blackbird, by David Harrower. Directed by Mikaela Davies and staged at Les Ateliers Jean Brillant from April 11th - 22nd, Blackbird will 'captivate audiences with a brief glimpse into an office break room where two estranged lovers encounter each other and try to work through their illicit and controversial past.'

Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, a final week through Sunday, May 13.
