Emmy® Award winner and two-time Tony® Award nominee Bobby Cannavale will appear as a special guest star in all 10 episodes of the fourth season of NURSE JACKIE. Cannavale will play a formidable hospital administrator sent by the new conglomerate that buys the financially beleaguered All Saint's Hospital to improve the hospital's efficiency and profitability, but his arrival is sure to shake things up. Production on season four begins in September in New York for a 2012 premiere.

Los Angeles and New York veteran stage actor Tim Cummings has released a book of collected stories entitled ORPHANS stories. The book, which contains a joyous superfluity of styles, forms, and themes, is available as both a digital and a print edition.
Stage and screen star Ben Stiller, who waspreviously announced to star in 20th Century Fox's remake of 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,' will also direct the project, according to Variety.
Naked Angels in association with the Guild Hall will present a one night only benefit staged reading of long-time company member and celebrated playwright Warren Leight's Tony Award-winning play Side Man, starring Zachary Quinto and original Broadway cast members Jeff Binder, Kevin Geer, Michael Mastro, Angelica Torn, and Frank Wood. The reading will take place at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY on Sunday, August 28 at 7pm. Proceeds will go towards Naked Angels' ongoing development of new work.

New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) have announced the full line-up of their 2011 Powerhouse Theater season, now entering its 27th year. The result of a unique collaboration between New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, the program consists of an eight-week residency on the Vassar campus (124 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY) during which more than 200 professional artists and some 40 apprentices live and work together to create new theater works. The 2011 Main Stage season kicks off with Patricia Wettig's F2M (June 29 - July 10).
