On Fri & Sat, Sept 25 & 26, 2009 at 8pm - After selling out his Los Angeles debut at Upright Cabaret in Aug 2009, Upright Cabaret producers Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel welcome back Composer/Lyricist SCOTT ALAN for two additional evenings celebrating 'The Music of Scott Alan!'

On Monday, August 10th at 8pm, Upright Cabaret will present 'The Music of Scott Alan', an evening featuring the work of composer and lyricist, Scott Alan. This one night only concert will mark Alan's Los Angeles debut, and also be the first performance in Upright Cabaret's new venue at 'Upright Cabaret on Vermont' which is currently being renovated on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

The production played 3 nights - July 31, August 1 and August 2 to cheering crowds, but the crazy part is - the final dress is done at 10am, in broad daylight and is open to the public, as the venue is a county-owned facility. People showed up in droves, for the run-through and cheered on the actors, the Hollywood Bowl orchestra and conductor Kevin Stites, who you will see is wearing a black, casual shirt for the rehearsal. The show's director, Richard Jay-Alexander, made a brief speech before the run, welcoming everybody, and in this exclusive footage, I was also able to catch him, in his dressing room, before the Opening Night performance.

Mark Indelicato, Philadelphia native and star of the smash hit ABC Television series 'Ugly Betty,' will return to his hometown when he joins the faculty of THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION'S (BDF) Summer Performing Arts Intensive Program.

THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION (BDF) will host their premiere BDF Summer Performing Arts Intensive program at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (300 South Broad Street) Tuesday, August 4 through Saturday, August 9, 2009.

Eden Espinosa performed her solo show ME, which had already sold out 4 nights at Joe's Pub in New York this winter, at the Ford Amphitheatre on Friday, July 24 in the second concert of Upright Cabaret's Wicked Summer Nights! Espinosa creates a sensation wherever she sings and this evening was no exception. Her set began Act II, which included an appearance by Grammy-winning Paula Cole; cute, petite Audra Mae, grand-niece of Judy Garland, was the Act I opener. There was a definite rock, pop feel to the evening whose theme was Lost Love, Found Love, Found Me.
