The 2016 Illuminate Film Festival, which takes place June 1 – 5 in Sedona announced today the official line up of films for the 3rd annual event. The only film festival of its kind, the Illuminate Film Festival offers a collection of over 20 feature length and short films from around the world, exploring the year's best in conscious cinema, as well as eye opening and thought provoking panels and conversations that will expand minds and inspire dialogue.

Deadline broke the news that Pauly Shore's documentary PAULY SHORE STANDS ALONE was acquired by Showtime - the film will premiere on December 4th. Directed by Shore, the film chronicles his comedy tour across the midwest as he deals with his ailing mother, legendary Comedy Store owner Mitzi Shore. The film will be also premiering at the Woodstock Film Festival in October.

Carrie White, Author of “Upper Cut,” Set To Receive Writers In Treatment Award

Writers In Treatment will honor Carrie White, Hollywood hairdresser to the stars and the author of "Upper Cut,' with the 'Experience, Strength and Hope' Award on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Skirball Cultural Center. Ed Begley Jr. will host the event and actress Joanna Cassidy ("Body of Proof," "Six Feet Under") will present the award to Carrie White. The evening will also feature a hilarious performance by stand-up comedian Alonzo Bodden (winner of "Last Comic Standing," frequent guest on NPR's "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me") as well as a special guest appearance by actress and recovery advocate Mackenzie Phillips.
