American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and gala co-chairs Maria and Jeff Spears are proud to announce SUPERGALA! on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at The Regency (1290 Sutter Street) in San Francisco. Welcome to the first of a series of reports from the outskirts of the big cities! For the next couple of weeks, I will be visiting some of the smaller cities and towns around that all share one thing in common: cultural gems that dot the landscape. Today, I present to you Culpeper's State Theatre and the recent performance by Lynchburg's Endstation Theatre Company. Endstation presented TWO GENTLEMEN OF VIRGINIA recently to the delight of an appreciative audience. I think the Bard would have been thoroughly entertained by a skillfully paved intersection of historical references from the 1780s and rock and roll memories of the 1980s.

Celebrating its tenth season production, the Boston Midsummer Opera (BMO) will present Friedrich von Flotow's charming romantic comedy, Martha.  Performed in English, fully staged and costumed, Martha will be presented at the Tsai Performance Center, Boston University for three performances only, July 29, 21 and August 2.

Producer Kathryn Bartholomew and Director David Fehr, spirited members of the Chicago theatre community, open the doors, once again, to Chicago's newest home for authentic theatre going experiences, Linchpin Theatre. 2015-2016 marks the 10th season of acclaimed theatre company AtticRep, and its second in residence at the Tobin Center of Performing Arts. The 10th Anniversary Season presents four dynamic productions which achieve a compelling and diverse exploration of childhood, forgiveness, the loss of innocence, and growing up female. The Utah Shakespeare Festival has announced Becky Merold as the new production manager for the Festival. Becky has worked at the Festival seasonally for twelve years as a stage manager and has worked on more than twenty plays throughout her tenure at the Festival.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) has announced the appointment of Kate Liberman as its new Managing Director. Reporting to HVSF's Board of Directors, and working in partnership with Artistic Director Davis McCallum, Ms. Liberman will be responsible for all administrative and operational aspects of HVSF's activities.
