Cornerstone Theatre's CALIFORNIA: THE TEMPEST Tour to Stop in Eureka, San Francisco & L.A.

The historic journey comes to an end! Cornerstone Theater Company commences on the final three destinations, after stops in six diverse California cities, with its year-long world premiere adaption of Shakespeare's The Tempest, CALIFORNIA: THE TEMPEST, written by Cornerstone Co-Founder Alison Carey and directed by its Artistic Director Michael John Garces.

Seven Devils Playwrights Conference Announces 2015 Writers; Runs 6/8-20

Five playwrights from across the country have been selected to develop and present their plays as part of the 15th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference. These writers, selected from over 450 open submissions are: Robert Caisley, who will also serve as the 2015 Conference's Featured Playwright with his play The Open Hand, Jennifer Blackmer with her play Unraveled, Bernadine Cockey with her play Relative Madness, J. Joseph Cox with his play Koalas and Sara Jean Accuardi with her play <3.

IN FLIGHT Begins Performances Next Month at The WorkShop Theater

Turn to Flesh Productions has announced that it will present IN FLIGHT, a new verse play (in rhyming couplets) about a woman with a literary background navigating the corporate world at the offices of an in-flight airline magazine, May 9 - 23 at The WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street, Fourth Floor East (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The production, written by Jenny Lyn Bader and directed by Jessica Bauman, will have its official opening on Thursday, May 14th at 8:00PM.

Bristol Riverside Theatre to Present AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, 5/12-31

Community and collaboration are the watchwords of Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, running May 12-May 31. Co-directed by Susan D. Atkinson and Amy Kaissar, the high-voltage drama, which concludes BRT's Mainstage Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Keith Baker, Kevin Bergen, Mark Collmer, Brian Brillinger, Laura Giknis, Marc LeVasseur, Shamus Hunter McCarty, P. Brendan Mulvey and Sabrina Proffitt performing alongside Bucks County community members. The production is supported in part by a generous grant from PECO.

'4@15' Runs This Weekend at The Playroom Theater

4@15: Four New Fifteen-Minute Musicals, performed in conjunction with University of California, Irvine, will commence performances today, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, for three performances only at the Playroom Theater featuring new works by By Sujin Kim and Daphny Maman, David Christensen and Michael Shapiro, Ryan Korell and Jonathan Keebler, and Minjoung Hwang and Brandon Michael Lowden. Tammy Holder serves as Music Director; Brian Blythe directs.

Geva to Close 2014-2015 Season with VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE

Geva Theatre Center presents Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - Christopher Durang's laugh-out-loud, Tony Award-winning comedy, directed by Bruce Jordan. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike begins performances May 5, opens May 9, and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through May 31.

Temerity Theatre's THE ADDICTS Comes to TNC Tonight

Theater For The New City presents A Temerity Theatre Company production, 'The Addicts,' written by Ed Malin and directed by Janet Bentley. The production will run tonight, April 16-May 3, 2015.

The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the final production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the Los Angeles Premiere of WORDS BY IRA GERSHWIN A Musical Play by Joseph Vass, directed by David Ellenstein, Musical Director Kevin Toney, Musical Arranger Joseph Vass. WORDS BY IRA GERSHWIN will preview today, April 15; Thursday, April 16; and Friday, April 17 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, April 18 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, May 17.

Yale Institute for Music Theatre Names 2015 Selections

The YALE INSTITUTE FOR MUSIC THEATRE (Mark Brokaw, Artistic Director) has selected two original book musicals to be developed in an intensive lab setting in New Haven, June 13-28: gilgamesh & the mosquito, music by Bob Kelly and book and lyrics by Sam Chanse; and Horizons, music by Ben Wexler and book and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick. The Institute culminates with open rehearsal readings of each project, presented as a part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, on June 26 and 27.

Women in the Arts and Media Coalition, Inc. Now Accepting Submissions for 2015 Collaboration Award

The Women in the Arts and Media Coalition, Inc. will present the 2015 Collaboration Award recognizing Women Working With Women. This is the fifth Collaboration Award presented by the Women in the Arts & Media Coalition, whose mission is to focus the power of its member organizations together and to use that combined strength to address issues of concern to women in the arts, media, and new media. The Coalition is committed to being the link between its member organizations as they work together to impact the various topics that affect women in our industry through advocacy, networking, and events.

Mama Foundation for the Arts Presents ALIVE!, Starting This Weekend in Harlem

The Mama Foundation for the Arts proudly announces the return of their acclaimed musical production, ALIVE! From the creators of Mama, I Want To Sing! -- the worldwide musical sensation -- ALIVE! is a musical celebration of a generation, featuring a full company of performers who are age 55 and over; at The Dempsey Theater in Harlem (127 West 127th Street, between Lenox and Seventh Avenues). After a hit engagement last fall and an in-depth feature on CBS-TV's '60 Minutes' (available here), ALIVE! will take the stage once again from today, April 11 to July 25.

Coeurage Theatre Company's THE WOODSMAN to Open 5/8

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced the second production of its 2015 season, The Woodsman by Steven Fechter, directed by Jeremy Lelliott. There will be two preview performances on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 at 8pm and opening will be split between Friday, May 8 at 8pm and Saturday, May 9 at 8pm. The Woodsman will play through June 13 at the Lyric-Hyperion Theatre & Cafe in Silver Lake.
