Brooks Ashmanskas, Andréa Burns, et al. Set for THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT Reading, 1/30

The Hangar Theatre's Pilot Reading Series in NYC continues into 2012 with a reading of The Drama Department, a new play by James Hindman. The reading is Monday, January 30th at 7.30pm at The Black Box Theatre on Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th and 10th Avenue). The reading will be directed by Peter Flynn, the Hangar's Artistic Director.

High School in the Spotlight: West Fargo High!

Based on user demand, BWW is taking our commitment to arts education one step further with the launch of the BWW Student Center - High School Edition. This directory features upcoming show listings for more than 1500 high schools nationwide with more being added each week. Schools can register for 'enhanced' listings on the site - adding in photos, cast lists, videos, links and more. Productions that take advantage of this will receive highlights on our listing pages, extra editorial mentions and potential spotlight features.

Justin Kirk to Join Cast of OTHER DESERT CITIES Today

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Justin Kirk will assume the role of Trip Wyeth in its critically acclaimed production of OTHER DESERT CITIES, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by Joe Mantello, on Tuesday, January 10 at the Booth Theatre (222 W. 45 Street).

Justin Kirk begins performances tomorrow, Tuesday January 10, joining Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, and Judith Light in the Lincoln Center Theater production of OTHER DESERT CITIES, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by Joe Mantello, at the Booth Theatre (222 W. 45 Street).

Theater Wit's annual holiday classic The Santaland Diaries, based on David Sedaris's true, hilarious holiday tale, returns for its eighth consecutive outing in 2011 featuring a newly-enhanced set and once again starring Mitchell Fain who always plays to rave reviews and sold out houses.

New Trimester Begins at Franklin School for the Performing Arts

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will begin a new Trimester on December 12th. New students are welcome to register for classes continuing throughout the school year.
