Regional Premiere of Lopez's REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES to Open in August

The Douglas Morrisson Theatre 2016-2017, 37th season launches with the regional premiere of Josefina Lopez's newly updated award-winning comedy Real Women Have Curves. DMT is tremendously excited to be presenting the regional premiere of Ms. Lopez's updated version, which first premiered at the Mission Cultural Center over 25 years ago in a production by El Teatro de la Esperanza.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD to Open 4/30 at Berkeley Playhouse

Berkeley Playhouse will produce the first non-musical in its nine-year history with Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. The show will be directed by Berkeley Playhouse's Producing Artistic Director Daren A.C. Carollo (Berkeley Playhouse's Peter Pan, Hairspray; Broadway: A Time to Kill; Off-Broadway: bare The Musical; Regional: Diablo Theatre Company, City Lights Theatre Company, Napa Valley Opera House, Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre, Town Hall Theatre Company). Previews begin April 28. The show runs from April 30 to May 22 at the Julia Morgan Theater, 2640 College Ave in Berkeley, CA. Tickets are now available through the box office. Contra Costa Civic Theatre to Present THE MOUNTAINTOP,4 4/15-5/8

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 56th season with The Mountaintop, Katori Hall's daring reimagining of a seminal event in American history, directed by CCCT Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn. The Mountaintop plays from April 15 through May 8- performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

Douglas Morrisson Theatre to Continue Season with Solo Festival ONE FOR ALL

The Douglas Morrisson Theatre 2015-2016 Revelations Season continues with ONE FOR ALL: A Solo Artists Festival celebrating the amazing diversity of solo performers in the Bay Area. DMT's two-week solo theatre festival features nine different solo artists, April 8 through April 17, 2016, at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre, 22311 N. Third St. in Hayward, CA. DMT to Host Spring Coral Concert 2016, 3/18-19

The Morrisson Theatre Chorus, under the musical direction of Cesar Cancino, will present its Spring Concert: american favorites: a celebration of america's popular MUSIC on March 18 and March 19 at 8:00pm and March 20 at 2:00pm. Douglas Morrisson Theatre Hosts Holiday Open House Today

Today, December 19, 2015, from 1:00 to 4:00pm, the Douglas Morrisson Theatre will host an open house to welcome the community inside for some good cheer and fun in celebration of the holiday season. Come make merry with DMT! Santa Claus will be in residence all afternoon and children of all ages are invited to stop by and share their wish lists.
