The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the writers for the Songwriters Showcase, which will be Co-hosted by David Zippel & Dee Hoty as well as additional casting for the eight musicals in the 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

On Monday, June 15th Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde returned to New York City for the first time in 8 years since its four year, 1500+ performance Broadway run and was presented in its entirety as a benefit concert for the New York Society for Ethical Culture (NYSEC). Presented by SAW Theatricals/Sarah Melissa Rotker in association with Deborah Blumenthal, Stephanie Leaf, and Phillip Pallitto, the evening took place at NYSEC's 800-seat concert hall, most recently home to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and featured 'Bring on the Men', a song which was not heard in the Broadway production.

Presented by SAW Theatricals/Sarah Melissa Rotker in association with Deborah Blumenthal, Stephanie Leaf, and Phillip Pallitto, the evening took place at NYSEC's 800-seat concert hall, most recently home to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and featured 'Bring on the Men', a song which was not heard in the Broadway production. The June 15th benefit concert staging of Jekyll & Hyde at New York Society for Ethical Culture will feature two songs not heard in the show's initial Broadway bow. Bring on the Men, which was replaced by Good and Evil for the show's 1500+ performance run at the Plymouth Theater, was re-inserted into the show following the original Broadway production. Girls of the Night, which was cut out of town, is being included by special permission from the authors.

Westchester based theatre company Little Fig Stage will be presenting 'The Music of Hope,' a benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids on May 16th at 8pm and May 17th at 3pm Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre in Manhattan.

Mona), Timothy Jerome (Grand Hotel, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Cats), Marci Reid (Kiss Me, Kate 1st national tour), Brandon Ruckdashel (Ascension), and Tony Wolf (The Action Room) will round out the principal cast of the one-night-only concert of Jekyll & Hyde at the New York Society for Ethical Culture on June 15th.
