Keigwin + Company to Present Two Dance Premiers at Joyce Theater, 6/12-6/17

Keigwin + Company (K+C) returns to The Joyce Theater, 175 Eighth Avenue, NYC, for its annual weeklong season including the World Premieres of two new dances on June 12- 17, 2012. Performances: Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm; Thursday through Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm & 7:30pm. Tickets are $10-$49 and can be purchased at JoyceCharge at 212-242-0800 or joyce.org. THE TAMING OF THE SHREW Set for Theatre for a New Audience, 4/1

The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare, directed by Arin Arbus, is Theatre for a New Audience's fifth and final production of the 2011 - 2012 theatre season. Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men) and Andy Grotelueschen (Cymbeline performed by Fiasco Theater) play Kate and Petruchio. Previews begin Sunday, March 18, at 7:00pm, and opens Sunday, April 1, at 3:00pm for a run scheduled through April 21, at The Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET® project, 229 West 42nd Street.

Keigwin + Company Announces First Summer Intensive 'Let's Make a Dance'

Larry Keigwin (Artistic Director) is a native New Yorker and graduate from Hofstra University, where he received a BA in Dance. He founded KEIGWIN + COMPANY in 2003 and as Artistic Director, Keigwin has led the company as it has performed at theaters and dance festivals throughout New York City and across the country.

Jacob's Pillow Announces 80th Anniversary Season

January 2012 will kick off the momentous 80th Anniversary of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, a National Historic Landmark, National Medal of Arts honoree, and America’s longest-running international dance festival.

Jacob's Pillow Presents Jodi Melnick and David Neumann, 8/10-14

Two highly respected contemporary artists and choreographers, Jodi Melnick and David Neumann, come together for the first time in an exclusive mixed bill engagement at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, August 10-14 in the Doris Duke Theatre. In her Pillow debut performance, two-time Bessie Award-winner Jodi Melnick presents Fanfare, a sophisticated dance of rhythm and gesture set against a kaleidoscope of light and sculpture designed by visual artist Burt Barr. Neumann and his company, Advanced Beginner Group, also take the stage with signature wry humor and creativity in Hit the Deck and Tough the Tough. This exclusive program also includes the world premiere duet, July, commissioned by Jacob's Pillow, and choreographed and performed by these two original artists.

Hartford Stage Opens SummerStage 2011 with Fräulein Maria 6/15-26

Hartford Stage will launch its 2011 SummerStage season with Doug Elkins' & Friends' Fräulein Maria, the innovative and award-winning dance piece performed to the soundtrack from Rodgers & Hammerstein's movie classic, The Sound of Music.

In shared programs, twelve winners and finalists from series at The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, On the Boards (Seattle) and Joyce SoHo (New York City) will perform works that they either showed in their respective cities or that they created after they received cash awards
