Parson's Nose Opens THE ALGONQUIN ROUND TABLE Tonight

Parson's Nose Theater (PNT), the acclaimed 'classical comedy' theater company led by Artistic Director, Lance Davis, continues their 2013-14 Season with a full production of 'The Algonquin Round Table'.

Ridgefield Playhouse to Welcome Fran Lebowitz, 2/22

Fran Lebowitz - author, journalist, social observer, purveyor of urban cool, witty chronicler of the "me decade" and the cultural satirist whom many call the heir to Dorothy Parker - can be seen in the blockbuster film The Wolf of Wall Street. She can also be seen, and heard, at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. The audience will get to grill Fran for 60 minutes after an on-stage interview with host producer/writer/film critic Alison Bailes. Born in England, Alison Bailes is known for her work on Reel Talk, At the IFC Center and Jaws: The Inside Story. She will ask Fran about a plethora of topics, from her insights on gender, race and gay rights to the media, as well as Fran's pet peeves - celebrity culture, tourists and strollers. Fran Lebowitz's upcoming book, Progress, should be out in 2015. This event is part of The Moffly Media Entertaining Conversations ?and Ridgefield Library @ The Ridgefield Playhouse Event Series with media sponsor WSHU Public Radio Group.

Judy Kuhn, John Glover Star in LOVE, NOEL at Lovelace Studio Theater, 2/14-23

The Wallis has announced that Tony nominee Judy Kuhn (She Loves Me, Chess and Les Miserables) and Tony winner and five-time Emmy nominee John Glover (Love! Valour! Compassion!, 'Smallville') will star in Love, Noel: The Letters and Songs of Noel Coward, devised and written by Coward authority Barry Day, and directed by Jeanie Hackett, who over saw The Antaeus Theatre production of Noel Coward's Tonight at 8:30 and the three-year development of the Antaeus production of Coward's Peace in Our Time. The musical direction and piano accompaniment is by David O. Due to popular demand, additional performances have been added and Love, Noel will now be performed February 14 through 23 in the Lovelace Studio Theater.

Kim Rogers, who will be seen in Beautiful Soup's production of Liliom as Mrs. Muskat, will return to the stage this April as famed mystery- writer Agatha Christie in Little Wars, directed by Thia Stephan.

Pontine's Cafe-Lyceum Series to Continue with 'PRETTY HALCYON DAYS'

Pontine Theatre continues its 3-event Cafe-Lyceum Series with Pretty Halcyon Days: On the Beach with Ogden Nash. Pontine's Cafe-Lyceums feature refreshments and conversation along with scenes from one of Pontine Theatre's popular original plays based on New England literature. Pretty Halcyon Days is based on the life and work of "America's Master of Light Verse." Ogden Nash and his family spent their summers on Little Boar's Head, in North Hampton, NH. Using examples from Pontine's original staging of his poems, this program explores the ways in which Nash's life on the New Hampshire seashore influenced his poetry, lending insight into the man, his character, and his ideas about family, society, and nature.

Neuwirth, who won a 1997 Tony Award for her acclaimed portrayal of jazz-age killer Velma Kelly and returned ten years later as merry murderess Roxie Hart, made Broadway history in the role of Matron 'Mama' Morton for an eight-week limited engagement through Sunday, March 9 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).
