The renowned Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) pulls out the stops with two matinee and one evening performance of its annual holiday musical extravaganza - featuring guest appearances by country music legend LeAnn Rimes and Broadway star Sheryl Lee Ralph, and led by guest conductor Tim Seelig, in his GMCLA debut - Saturday, December 18, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, December 19, 2010, 3 p.m., at the Alex Theatre in Glendale. Some 150 choristers, resplendent in holiday finery, do Santa proud with a bundle of beloved seasonal works, and dazzling Twelve Days of Christmas 'Black-Light Puppet Spectacular.' 'Le Salon de Musiques,' an ensemble of Los Angeles' most renowned chamber music performers, continues its inaugural season with Mozart and Elgar, performed on the 5th floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on December 19, 2010. The one hour concert will feature Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A major K 581 and Elgar's String Serenade in E minor opus 20. After the performance there will be an interactive discussion between the audience and musicians (violinists Phillip Levy and Amy Hershberger, violist Victoria Miskolczy, cellist David Low and Clarinetist Stuart Clark) where they can share ideas, concepts and impressions about the music performed, while enjoying French Champagne provided by Montesquieu and a gourmet buffet provided by Patina including an English dessert. The 2008 double-bill of Alexander Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg (The Dwarf) and Viktor Ullmann's Der zerbrochene Krug (The Broken Jug) is available now, and the 2009 presentation of Walter Braunfels' Die Vögel (The Birds) will be released on November 16, 2010. The videos, released on the Arthaus Musik label, will be distributed by Naxos Music.

Ivan Shulman, Music Director of the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra (LADSO), has announced the orchestra will kick off its 2010 - 2011 (57th Annual) Season, in their new permanent artistic home at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles. During the course of LADSO's Inaugural Season in residence at The Ebell of Los Angeles, the orchestra will present two concert programs in the Grand Lounge, one on November 12, 2010, and another on March 20, 2011. The season will culminate with a performance in the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2011.
