MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET to Welcome Frankie Moreno, 10/1

Stratosphere headliner Frankie Moreno joins the cast of the smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Harrah's Las Vegas Showroom for a special guest encore performance. For one-night-only, Moreno will take center stage alongside the cast following their finale act. TV and stage star Eric McCormack saw THE WIZARD OF OZ Tour at Saturday's matinee at the Pantages in Hollywood, CA where the show plays through October 6th. He is an old friend of Lee MacDougall who plays the Lion, and took time after the show to pose for photos with the cast.

Shrunken Shakespeare Company to Stage THE TWO GENTLEMAN OF VERONA, 10/18-28

Shrunken Shakespeare Company will present 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona,' a music-infused, immersive production set in a dive bar in present day Italy. 'American Idol' winner and Paris Las Vegas headliner Taylor Hicks will take the stage with the smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET tonight, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Harrah's Las Vegas Showroom. Hicks will perform alongside the cast for a special encore during the show's finale.

The Wizard of Oz, featuring some of movie music's most unforgettable standards, along with new music written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber; a book adapted by Lloyd Webber and Jeremy Sams... and everything else that is good made its way successfully to Hollywood's Pantages Theatre last week (September 18) for a high flying opening night celebration which drew a full house of young and old alike. Among those involved with the festivities were BWW TV's own Los Angeles correspondents Michael Sterling and Jerry Evans on the red carpet walk of fame. Among the celebrities in attendance were Rico Rodriquez (ABC's Modern Family) and his sister Raini Rodriguez (Disney's Austin and Ally), Fox TV's Lauren Potter (Glee), Academy Award winner George Chakiris (West Side Story), Kate Linder (The Young and The Restless), Jane Kean (The Honeymooners), Ann Jeffrey's (General Hospital, Topper), Corbin Bleu (One Life to Live), RJ Mitte (AMC's Breaking Bad), Michelle Dockery of the BBC's Downton Abbey and others of note. Charles Shaughnessy Stars in North Shore Music Theatre's LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, Now thru 10/6

North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) will continue the blockbuster 2013 season with a glamorous production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, a 'modern family' musical. This sparkling all new production will be on stage for two weeks only starting tonight, September 24 and playing through Sunday, October 6. Press night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25 at 7:30 pm

DEXTER Series Finale Sets Showtime Ratings Record

Last night, Showtime said goodbye to its iconic drama series DEXTER, and despite facing a competitive night of programming on broadcast, basic and premium cable, the Dexter series finale delivered the show's highest-rated telecast ever and the biggest audience ever for an original episode in Showtime history, besting the show's season seven finale and season eight premiere. Dexter attracted 2.8 million viewers at 9 p.m. (up 13 percent from the season 8 premiere - vs. 2.5 million viewers, and up from the season seven finale - vs. 2.7 million) and 3.3 million viewers for the night (up from the season eight premiere - vs. 3.2 million viewers).

Hunter Gardner Debuts with SCHOOL

'SCHOOL.' (Bitingduck Press, March 2014) is a young adult novel by first-time author Hunter Gardner.
