Fiona Shaw to Star in US Debut of THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER at BAM, 12/10-22

The inimitable Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Fiona Shaw (Medea, 2002 Next Wave; Happy Days, 2008 Spring Season; John Gabriel Borkman, 2011 Spring Season) and dancer Daniel Hay-Gordon perform one of the best loved poems in the English language, Samuel Taylor Coleridge's epic The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, under the acclaimed direction of Phyllida Lloyd. This fiery, pared-down adaption of the 215-year-old tale tells of consequences paid while marooned at sea and of man's wanderings throughout the world in search of meaning.

Holly Madison to Join MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET for One-Night-Only, 12/4

For the first time in more than a year, Holly Madison takes the stage in Las Vegas during a special encore performance of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Harrah's Las Vegas Showroom. For one-night-only, Madison will perform the Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret duet "The Lady Loves Me" from the hit movie "Viva Las Vegas" alongside the cast during the finale. Co-authors Susan Sloate (of Mount Pleasant, SC) and Kevin Finn (of East Windsor, NJ), contend intelligence agents involved with anti-Castro Cuban groups set up a network to steal weapons from military bases and transport them to a CIA station in Miami, where they would eventually be used to invade Cuba again. These rogue groups planned to murder JFK and blame his death on a convenient patsy cleverly set up as a Communist sympathizer.

More viewers tuned into “Meet the Press” on Nov. 3, 2013 than any other Sunday public affairs program, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast drew 2.816 million viewers, topping Face the Nation's legacy half-hour and full hour, as well as This Week. “Meet the Press” was the only broadcast network to post gains week over week.

Glenn Close to be Honored at Sundance Institute's New York Benefit in June 2014

Sundance Institute today announced that it will present actress and arts advocate Glenn Close with its Vanguard Leadership Award in recognition of her distinguished career in entertainment and advocacy of independent film. The award presentation will take place at the fourth annual 'Celebrate Sundance Institute' benefit, chaired by Institute Trustees Jeanne Donovan Fisher and Pat Mitchell, on June 4, 2014 in New York.

Broadway Sacramento to Offer Audio Description at Select Performances

For the first time, due to a program established by California Musical Theatre (CMT), Music Circus and Broadway Sacramento patrons who are blind or visually impaired will be better able to enjoy the musicals they attend at Wells Fargo Pavilion and Community Center Theater, according to Richard Lewis, CMT President & CEO. Select Saturday matinee performances of each Broadway Sacramento and Music Circus production will feature audio description. Patrons with visual impairments will be able to listen to live descriptions of the visual elements of the shows-including sets, costumes and physical action-using ear pieces provided at the theater.

SUNSET STRIP Documentary with Johnny Depp & More Now Available

Lise Romanoff's Vision Films has announced that they will be releasing the iconic documentary SUNSET STRIP directed by Hans Fjellestad (WHEN THE WORLD BREAKS) today across multiple VOD platforms such as iTunes, Xbox, Playstation, Amazon, Blockbuster, Vimeo and direct to consumers via the Yerka player. The film will debut on DVD on December 10th.

ESPN and the MLS Cup Playoffs 2013 Coverage Begins Today

The ESPN networks - ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and WatchESPN - will combine to air five matches from the MLS Cup Playoffs 2013, beginning today, Nov. 3, at 9 p.m. ET - and concluding with the MLS Cup on Saturday, Dec. 7 - with a live presentation of the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinal series between Landon Donovan and the Los Angeles Galaxy and Nick Rimando and Real Salt Lake on ESPN and WatchESPN. Play-by-play commentator Adrian Healey, analyst Taylor Twellman and sideline reporter Monica Gonzalez will call the match with Alexi Lalas providing studio commentary from site.

The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) has published Born Digital: Guidance for Donors, Dealers, and Archival Repositories. The report provides recommendations to help ensure the physical and intellectual well-being of materials created and managed in digital form ('born digital') that are transferred from donors to archival repositories.
