SERRANO THE MUSICAL Makes World Premiere Tonight at the Matrix Theatre

Serrano NY, LLC is thrilled to present the World Premiere of SERRANO THE MUSICAL, book and lyrics by Madeline Sunshine, music by Robert Tepper, musical direction by Jeff Rizzo (Sunset Blvd. The Wizard of Oz), choreography by Peggy Hickey (A Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder) and directed by Tony nominee Joel Zwick (Dance With Me, 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'). SERRANO THE MUSICAL will begin previews on Thursday, January 8, 2015 and will open tonight, January 16 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 29 at the Matrix Theatre, 7657 Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood.

Amphibian Stage Productions to Kick Off Reading Series with PLEADING INFINITY, 1/25

Amphibian Stage Productions begins its 2015 season with the first installment of its newly formatted staged reading series. This year the series will host three playwrights in residence and exclusively feature unpublished works. Pleading Infinity by TJ Walsh, Texas native and Texas Christian University professor, will lead the series.

Gigi Bermingham to Star in END OF THE RAINBOW, Running 2/20-3/15 at International City Theatre

International City Theatre kicks off its 30th Anniversary Season with a tour de force musical drama about the final days of Judy Garland. End of the Rainbow by Peter Quilter opens Feb. 20, directed by John Henry Davis (ICT's Trying) and starring Gigi Bermingham (Ovation Award-winner for her performance as Maria Callas in ICT's Master Class) in the role of the legendary singer.

TOsketchfest to Present Kate McKinnon, Pajama Men and The Irrelevant Show

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival (TOsketchfest) celebrates a decade of presenting the best sketch comedy in North America with performances by Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon, comedy duo Pajama Men, and CBC Radio's hit comedy program The Irrelevant Show, plus over 40 sketch comedy troupes. The 10th Anniversary TOsketchfest runs March 5-15, 2015.

BWW Live Recap: Lots of Laughs as Theatre Stars Shine at 72nd Golden Globes

Film and television stars (and audiences) are sure to come out in droves when funny ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler take the stage for a final time (so they say!) to host the Golden Globes, tonight on NBC at 8pm/7c. While the annual ceremony wouldn't be as geared toward theatre people as, say, the Tony Awards (June 7th on CBS for those who need a heads-up), this year is a bit different, with a collection of nominees having Broadway experience, and a few films up for nods having ties to theatre as well.

LATE NIGHT CATECHISM Begins Tonight at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts

?Arizona's favorite ruler-wielding nun, Sister, is back in the habit at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts! Starring Patti Hannon, the Late Nite Catechism comedies return by popular demand Jan. 9 through March 28. The original Late Nite Catechism is performed on most Fridays at 8 p.m., and the sequel Late Nite Catechism III: 'Til Death Do Us Part runs on most Saturdays at 8 p.m. A special holiday treat, Sister's Easter Catechism: Will My Bunny Go to Heaven? also returns for a limited engagement March 31 through April 5.

The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Wings by Arthur Kopit, directed on the PCS Second Stage by George Mulford of Swarthmore. The cast, headed by Trina Tjersland of Hockessin, Delaware, includes Doris Chan of Garnet Valley, Kevin Doerr of Havertown, Sally Donovan of Blue Bell, Rick Gross of Philadelphia, Ellie Knickman of Ardmore, Suzette Krausen of Norristown, Jack Murphy of Hockessin, and Amy Stott of Chadds Ford.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, THE KING'S SPECH & More to Play Theatre Royal Glasgow in 2015

We're flying Over the Rainbow with Songbird: The Music of Eva Cassidy (Sat 31 Jan), a celebration of the singer's greatest hits, before audiences flock to the Theatre Royal for the revival of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird (Tue 3 - Sat 7 Feb). Rooster tops the bill in an outstanding programme from prestigious dance company Rambert (Thu 5 - Sat 7 Mar) - it's sure to be a hoot with choreography inspired by the swinging sixties.

La MaMa and Sheryl Lee Ralph to Stage Richard E. Waits' MAMA ROSE, 1/30-2/8

LA MaMa Experimental Theatre Club and Sheryl Lee Ralph and The D.I.V.A. Foundation present MAMA ROSE (A Solo Musical). This show gives a glimpse of Mr. Waits' life growing up in Buffalo, New York with his own MAMA ROSE, Rose Waits. In this dark comedy you'll find out that this 'southern belle' could have ruled the world...if they had only let her.

Showtime Free Preview Weekend Begins Friday

SHOWTIME will be available to over 70 million households during a Free Preview Weekend this Friday, January 9 through Sunday, January 11. Viewers nationwide will be able to sample the network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME On Demand, SHOWTIME ANYTIME and select distributors' TV Everywhere portals.
