Showtime to Offer Free Preview Weekend 1/11-13; Available To Over 80 Million Homes

SHOWTIME will be available in over 80 million households for a Free Preview Weekend from Friday, January 11 through Sunday, January 13, the network's biggest free preview audience ever. The network currently attracts 22 million subscribers and will be available to 58 million more, for one weekend only. Viewers across the country will have the opportunity to sample the premium network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME HD, SHOWTIME On Demand and SHOWTIME ANYTIME. The Free Preview weekend will include the series premieres of the critically-acclaimed hit series SHAMELESS, HOUSE OF LIES and CALIFORNICATION, live offerings from SHOWTIME Sports including ShoBox: The New Generation and STRIKEFORCE, and the television premieres of the blockbuster hit The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I and The Iron Lady, starring Meryl Streep in her Oscar winning role.

Adam Brody to Guest Star on Showtime's HOUSE OF LIES

Noted actor Adam Brody (The O.C.) will guest star in two episodes of the upcoming second season of the hit SHOWTIME comedy series, HOUSE OF LIES. Brody will play the owner of an adult toy company who forms a relationship with Jeannie (Kristen Bell). The series, which stars and is executive produced by Don Cheadle in his Emmy Award-nominated role, returns on Sunday, January 13th at 10:00 PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME. HOUSE OF LIES also stars Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Dawn Olivieri, Donis Leonard Jr. and Glynn Turman. Brody joins previously announced guest stars Larenz Tate, Nia Long and Lisa Edelstein.

Larenz Tate, Nia Long Join Season 2 of HOUSE OF LIES

Larenz Tate (Rescue Me) and Nia Long (Third Watch) have signed on as recurring season two guest stars in the hit SHOWTIME® comedy series, HOUSE OF LIES. Tate will play Marty's (series star and executive producer Don Cheadle in his Emmy®-Award nominated role) younger, less-ambitious, activist brother, while Long stars as a fellow consultant and former classmate of Marty's who proves to be a formidable foe. The casting marks a reunion of sorts for the pair who earned acclaim for their work as gun-shy lovers in the popular 1997 film Love Jones. The second season of HOUSE OF LIES begins shooting in Los Angeles in November for a Sunday, January 13th at 10 p.m. ET/PT debut.

Fans of the new hit SHOWTIME comedy series HOUSE OF LIES can now enjoy a behind the scenes look at what goes on at the Galweather & Stearn offices when the hot, young team of consultants is away from their clients. The team typically spends four days a week on the road, working hard and playing even harder. But, on Fridays, the real fun begins… This is the story of what happens on the fifth day. The 'Fridays at Galweather' webisodes were written by Emmy Award-winning series star Ben Schwartz and series co-producer Wes Nickerson, and directed by Emmy Award-winning series star Glynn Turman ('The Wire').

Showtime Orders 2 New Series: 'House of Lies' and 'Homeland'

Following the successful debuts of four critically acclaimed, new original hit series - The Big C, Shameless, Episodes and The Borgias - Showtime Networks and President of Entertainment David Nevins, will be adding two more original series to the premium channel's line-up.

Kristen Bell Joins Showtime's HOUSE OF LIES

Acclaimed actress Kristen Bell (VERONICA MARS, HEROES, COUPLES RETREAT) has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's new comedy pilot HOUSE OF LIES starring Don Cheadle (IRON MAN 2). HOUSE OF LIES, a half-hour, dark comedy created, executive produced and written by Matthew Carnahan (DIRT) from the hit tell-all book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time by Martin Kihn, will go into production in February in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Borsicsky (Flash Forward) will serve as executive producer, and Emmy(R) winner Stephen Hopkins (CALIFORNICATION, 24) will direct.
