INDIA JAZZ SUITES performs in Three Stages tonight, May 11 at 8 pm. This show is a brilliant collaboration between Pandit Chitresh Das, one of the world's foremost masters of the of the barefoot, bell-bedecked North Indian dance called Kathak, and Emmy award-winning Jason Samuels Smith --one of the world's fastest tap dancers.

CSO to Perform World Premiere of Work by OSU’s Donald Harris

CSO Music Director Jean-Marie Zeitouni will lead the Columbus Symphony in the world premiere of Donald Harris' Symphony No. 2, the first commissioned piece for the CSO in more than 20 years. Harris, Professor Emeritus of Composition and Theory for The Ohio State University, composed the traditional four-movement, large-scale symphony over a five-year period and describes it as a kaleidoscope, which is also the title he chose for the first movement.

Eddie Palmieri to Celebrate 75th Birthday at Blue Note, 3/13-18

Nine-time Grammy Award-winning pianist Eddie Palmieri returns to the Blue Note from March 13 - 18 to celebrate his 75th birthday. Joining Palmieri will be trumpeter Brian Lynch, saxophonist Donald Harrison, trombonist Conrad Herwig, bassist Luques Curtis, drummer Jose Claussell and percussionists Vincente "Little Johnny" Rivero and Orlando Vega. Palmieri, who will play in Australia for a few days before heading back to New York for the Blue Note run, has been touring for over 50 years, starting with his first gig in Eddie Forrester's Orchestra.

The Afro Latin Jazz Alliance has announced that it will celebrate the 10th Anniversary season of the GRAMMY® Award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra (ALJO), directed by Arturo O'Farrill, with a special program at Symphony Space on Manhattan's Upper West Side, on January 20 & 21.

Michael Wolff & Mike Clark Form Wolff & Clark Expedition

Acclaimed jazz pianist Michael Wolff has confirmed new concerts in New Orleans and New York City, and both events will showcase and debut WOLFF & CLARK EXPEDITION, the new band he has formed with legendary drummer Mike Clark. The pair has played together for years, but it was Wolff's recent live album recording session at Vitello's in California that lead to the 'official' formation of their new group.
