ALADDIN Star & Tony Winner James Iglehart Heads to 54 Below Tonight

Original Stars of Disney's ALADDIN Will Remain on Broadway Into 2016

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, is pleased to announce that original stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Jonathan Freeman (Jafar), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie) and Courtney Reed (Jasmine) have extended their contracts with the production through February 21, 2016. The four actors have led the 'sublime' (NY1) Aladdin company since its pilot production at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre in the summer of 2011 and garnered critical acclaim when the Broadway production opened on March 20, 2014.

JEOPARDY! Features Broadway's ALADDIN Tonight

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, will be the subject of an entire category on tonight's (January 15) episode of 'Jeopardy!,' marking only the third time the show has dedicated an entire category to a single Broadway show. For the first time in the history of 'Jeopardy!,' the show will incorporate performance footage from Aladdin in each of the category's clues.

Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, proudly welcomes Steel Burkhardt to the role of Kassim beginning tonight, December 22. He succeeds Brandon O'Neill, who originated the role and played his final performance on Sunday, December 21.

MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL, benefitting the The Actors Fund, was held last night, December 15, 2014 at 7:30 pm at The Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College. Klea Blackhurst (Radio Gals), Janet Dacal (Wonderland, In the Heights) and Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) were a part of the star studded cast that featured Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Little Shop of Horrors) in the title role.
