The world premiere of Matthew Bourne's production of THE RED SHOES has its world premiere at the Theatre Royal Plymouth tonight, with an eight-week Christmas season at Sadler's Wells from Tuesday 6 December 2016 to Sunday 29 January 2017.

New Adventures return to the Lyceum Theatre this month with Matthew Bourne's dazzling production of Sleeping Beauty, the final piece in his trio of Tchaikovsky masterpieces, from Tuesday 17 - Saturday 21 May.

Recently knighted and internationally acclaimed choreographer Matthew Bourne's stunning dance thriller, The Car Man, will be released in cinemas across the UK from 1 March 2016. Performed by Matthew Bourne's Dance Company, New Adventures, the award-winning The Car Man is loosely based on Bizet's popular opera (CARMEN) and has one of the most thrilling and instantly recognisable scores in classical music, brilliantly arranged by Terry Davies. Completing his trio of Tchaikovsky's great ballets, Sir Matthew Bourne has turned his choreographic hand to Sleeping Beauty, with the added surtitle 'a gothic romance.' After reportedly experiencing divine inspiration whilst staying in the former bedroom of the renowned Russian composer, Bourne has re-worked the notoriously difficult narrative of this famous fairy tale, injecting new life into a story where the protagonist usually spends much of the time asleep.
