Performances began Wednesday July 20th at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets). The Annual Opening Night Benefit is tonight, July 27th (6:30 PM). Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director) will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series Saturday, March 19th, with Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide To School, the New York premiere of the new children's musical based on the best-selling series of books by Barbara Park(published by Random House Books for Young Readers), penned by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Ever After, Dear Edwina). Featured in the cast are Lizzy Brooks, Gino Chaviano, Michelle Croll, Charles Engelsgjerd, and Annabelle Fox.
The Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat (BCTR) will be presenting a private industry reading of "Call It Courage" a new musical based in the novel by Armstrong Sperry. Book, Music & Lyrics by Adam Overett. The presentation will be directed by BCTR founder Devanand Janki and will take place March 17th & 18th in New York at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting.

Some of Broadway's brightest were on hand Saturday in the tiny bedroom community of Salem, CT for an afternoon concert that officially launched the inaugural season of the Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat (BCTR), a resident program aimed at developing new works. The event kicked off a summer of preparation for the innovative program's first retreat which will take place September 25th through October 5th, 2015.
