The JERSEY BOYS Original Cast Recording also received a 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album. JERSEY BOYS has now grossed over $812 million worldwide and been seen by 9 million people around the world. Over 450,000 people have attended the show in Melbourne to date. JERSEY BOYS - The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, will officially open in Sydney at the Theatre Royal on Saturday 18 September 2010. The season in Melbourne must finish on Sunday 25 July following 453 sell-out performances. There is no extension possible.

Ryan Jesse will step into the role of Bob Gaudio in the Broadway cast of JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning smash hit musical, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Sebastian Arcelus, who currently plays the role of Bob Gaudio, will play his final performance on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents its 6th annual First Look Repertory of New Work-three developmental productions of new plays presented in rotating repertory playing October 27 - November 14, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Deadline.com reports that stage and screen vet Oliver Platt is the latest star to join the newest X-Men film, X-Men: First Class. He will be appearing alongside a growing list of stars including Kevin Bacon, who will play a villain who fights Charles Xavier, played by James McAvoy and Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender.

The Chance Theater is pleased to announce that it has selected the innovative rock musical THE WHO'S TOMMY as its third production of the 2010 season, scheduled to run July 2 through August 8. Based on The Who's classic 1969 double album rock opera about a 'deaf, dumb and blind boy' who becomes the leader of a messianic movement, THE WHO'S TOMMY tells the dramatic story of a young boy's journey to manhood through the muted pain of catatonia after witnessing the murder of his mother's lover by his father. Tommy finds his calling as a pinball champion who becomes idolized by the public and the press, but his celebrity machine eventually begins to fall apart.
