Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX), via our Front Row Centre Events announces the very popular series The Met: Live in HD is returning to participating Cineplex theatres.

The Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is coming to the Ohio Theatre.

Dates have been announced for Chicago's return engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

The Royal Conservatory announced recently a Tribute Concert to honour Des McAnuff, Broadway's Canadian visionary director and Tony Award-winner.

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is proud to present Broadway's Rachel York and Graham Rowat in a new production of the musical The Game. Production dates are August 11 through 28 with a press opening on Wednesday, August 17 at 7pm at BSC Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

JERSEY BOYS opened on Broadway to critical acclaim on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The show is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London; Sydney, Australia; in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour and it will open in Auckland, New Zealand in April, 2012. Today, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the show will then head to Broadway this Spring, playing the Neil Simon Theatre.

JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical, will break two records in two days.

The Mayor of Auckland, Len Brown, announced that the world-wide smash hit production of JERSEY BOYS will open at The Civic in Auckland, New Zealand in April 2012.

With one year to go until the start of the London Olympic Games 2012, the producers of JERSEY BOYS are offering people the chance to buy top-price tickets to see the multi award-winning musical in London during the Olympics and Paralympics weeks in 2012 for just £20.12 each. These special tickets are available from today, Wednesday 27 July 2011 until 20 December 2011 and can be purchased in person from the Box Office at the Prince Edward Theatre, or on 0844 482 5151, or at www.jerseyboyslondon.com. These tickets would normally cost £65 weekdays and £67.50 at the weekend. The special price includes a £1 restoration levy and the normal transaction/booking fees apply (£1.75 via the ‘phone and website, but £0 in person at the counter).

Stratford Shakespeare Festival's new production of Jesus Christ Superstar opened at The Avon Theatre on Friday June 3rd to outstanding reviews with audiences and critics alike raving about this magnificent new take on the now four decade old show. Directed by Des McAnuff, the show tells the story of the last week of Christ's life. Since the show's opened, there has been a flood of theatre insiders travelling to Toronto to see the show to discuss moving it to Broadway.

Tony Award winner Ben Vereen is traveling from Los Angeles to Houston, Texas today to be a special guest performer in The Musical Theatre of Houston's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Vereen will star as Pontius Pilate in a production directed and choreographed by Aaron Callies. The curtain rises for two shows August 19-20 at the Wortham Brown Theatre at 8:00pm both evenings and will include a cast of Sam Brown as Jesus, Jacqueline Grady as Mary Magdalene, and Tommie Harper as Judas.
