HAPPY HOLIDAYS from all of us at Broadway Sessions! We recently celebrated the season with our annual All Star Holiday Show. Broadway Sessions guests returned to share their favorite holiday tunes. Enjoy these highlights from The Book of Mormon's Bud Weber, Kinky Boots' Delaney Westfall, Hamilton's Erin Clemons, Spongebob's Jai'len Josey, Aladdin's Juwan Crawley and Deonte L. Warren, Bandstand's Mary Callanan, Wicked's Emma Hunton, Hairspray's Michelle Dowdy and Sessions team members Michael Kirk Lane and Joseph Barry Strickland and our amazingly talented Rising Star Jordan Grizzard. Theatre producers Roy Nevans, John Lant and FABCO Productions will present a staged presentation of their new musical, Fabulous! The Queen of New Musical Comedies on Wednesday, March 20th and Friday, March 22nd (7PM) at 777 Theater (777 8th Avenue /between 47 and 48th Street.)
Fabulous! The Queen of New Musical Comedies is described as 'a farce in the style of the Golden Age of Broadway. The show is a cross between Anything Goes, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Some Like It Hot. It begins in Paris! Two female impersonators, Jane Mann and Laura Lee Handle, are down on their luck. Backing up Sue Flay, the worst Drag Diva in France, proved a complete disaster. They're jobless and homeless. Just when Jane and Laura Lee get ready to throw in their powder puffs ... a telegram! They'll headline as fabulous showgirls on a cruise ship, the Queen Ethel May. The catch? Keeping their male identities a secret from snooping crew members, jewel heisting gangsters and every gentleman caller that comes their way. It's vintage musical theater meets contemporary farce in a new musical comedy where practically everything goes.'
