Matthew Fox to Do Neil LaBute Play in London Next Spring?

On the red carpet for tonight's Emmy Awards, LOST star Matthew Fox didn't reveal the title, but said that he will be doing a play in London next Spring. Other reports have attached the star to a new play by Neil LaBute, 'second year senior'. The show is described as 'During a stormy night, a brother and sister peel back the many layers of truth surrounding their lives'.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

MacDowell Joins Cast of 'Footloose' Remake

According to EW.com, Andie MacDowell is set to play Vi, in the highly anticipated Footloose remake. MacDoweel will join Julianne Hough, Kenny Worlmald, and Dennis Quaid, who will play MacDowell's husband-Reverend Moore. The movie is set to hit theatres in April of 2011, and production will begin in the near future.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) opens it's latest production, TRUST, starring Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor tonight, August 12. TRUST is written by Paul Weitz and directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST began previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street). The production runs through September 5.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.
