Amy Herzog's Pulitzer Prize finalist script, as you may have guessed by the title, is a story of long journeys - of physical distance and of years. An earthy, 21-year old, Leo, shows up at his grandmother's Greenwich Village apartment in the middle of the night, seeking another place to crash on his cross-country bicycle trip, which inadvertently ends on this night, as he ends up staying with her for several weeks and the two of them strike up a newfound friendship.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Sets Cast of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are thrilled to announce the cast of 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog. Under the direction of Mike Donahue, the production will feature Michael Goldsmith (Leo Joseph-Connell), Dee Maaske (Vera Joseph), Justine Salata (Bec) and Kristin Villanueva (Amanda). 4000 Miles will preview January 5 and 6, open on January 7 and run through January 31 in the Bingham Theatre as part of the Brown-Forman Series. Capital Stage continues its ninth season, THE HOMEFRONT: A Season of Soul-Stirring Plays, with the 2013 Pulitzer Prize finalist 4000 MILES by Amy Herzog. This humorous yet honest play grapples themes of family and grief with wit and spontaneity. Capital Stage's production will be directed by Carolyn Howarth, will feature Dee Maaske a twenty-one year veteran of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and will run from today, March 12, 2014 through April 13, 2014, with a press opening on March 15.
