The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) and The VETS are pleased to announce that the Theatres will participate in Cyber Monday on November 27. All ticketing purchasing* fees at www.ppacri.org and www.thevetsri.com will be waived, by using the code NOFEEPPAC27 for PPAC shows and NOFEEVETS27 for The VETS' shows. Please note that PPAC's $3 per ticket restoration charge and The VETS' $3 per ticket facility fee are still included in the final purchasing price. The offer cannot be combined with any other discounts and no adjustments are allowed on prior purchases. In the latest in the spate of movies turned musicals with no new music to speak of to turn up in Seattle, following in the trend of Dirty Dancing or the egregious Flashdance , we've now been offered up The Bodyguard . And while the current offering didn't live up, or should I say down, to the aforementioned maniac , this romance shoe-horned into a Whitney Houston cover band didn't live up to the Queen of the Night either with its lackluster and stiff performances.

Society of Voice Arts & Sciences (SOVAS) hosted the 2017 Voice Arts Awards at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Fredrick P. Rose Hall this past Sunday, November 5th. Critically acclaimed documentary film maker Ken Burns was in attendance to accept the prestigious Muhammad Ali Voice of Humanity Honor.
